It's the 40th anniversary of the "Summer of Love", and on this week's program - the hippie guru who was in the center of it all in San Francisco - Stephen Gaskin. Stephen talks about the hippie movement - love, peace, and NOT EATING ANIMALS. He chronicles the caravan of school buses that toured America, finally settling in Summertown, Tennessee, where "The Farm" came into being, eventually producing tofu and books about being vegan, health, and environment. If his name sounds familiar, too, it could be because Stephen was the Green Party candidate for President, and no doubt the US Marine turned hippie could have, and would have, done a better job than the current White House occupier. Also, it's Labor Day weekend. Hear about the most dangerous job in America - slaughterhouse worker, where the employees almost have it as bad as the animals. Well, nobody has it as bad as the animals. So if you don't want to be a part of the oppression - GO VEGAN! And what better way to celebrate the "Summer of Love" than with the lifestyle that is "love" - GO VEGAN!
